VCCT Entrance Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a new applicant enrolling in an eligible VCCT diploma program.
- Meet all published admission and English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for the program.
- Be accepted for admission and sign an enrolment contract.
- Begin studies in the designated intake.
- Not be receiving another institutional entrance scholarship or tuition promotion, unless otherwise approved by the College.
Eligible Programs
The Entrance Scholarship is available to new students enrolling in the following diploma programs:
- Diploma in Addiction and Community Service Worker
- Diploma in Crisis Response and Mental Health Worker
- Diploma in Indigenous Community Service Worker
- Diploma in Social Service Worker
- Diploma in Social Service Worker & Community Mental Health Training
Award
- $2,500 Entrance Scholarship for the first 25 eligible students who enrol in an eligible diploma program for the applicable intake.
- $1,500 Entrance Scholarship for all remaining eligible new students enrolling in an eligible diploma program for the applicable intake.
- The scholarship is applied as a tuition credit.
- The scholarship is non-transferable and has no cash value.
General Scholarship Terms
- VCCT reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue scholarship programs for future intakes at its discretion.
- Any changes will not affect scholarships already awarded in accordance with the published criteria in effect at the time of enrolment.
- Scholarship availability, values, and eligible programs are determined by the College and may vary by intake.
VCCT Graduation Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
Graduates must:
- Successfully complete an eligible VCCT program.
- Meet all program completion requirements and graduate in good academic standing.
- Have no outstanding financial obligations to the College.
Eligible Programs & Award Amounts
Graduates of the following eligible programs may receive a Graduation Scholarship:
$2,000 Graduation Scholarship
- Diploma of Professional Counselling
$1,000 Graduation Scholarship
- Addictions Worker Program
- Career Exploration & Development Skills Program
- Counselling for Intimacy in Relationships Program
- Youth & Family Support Worker Program
Award Conditions
- Graduation Scholarships are awarded in accordance with the published scholarship criteria.
- Scholarships are non-transferable and have no cash value.
- Where tuition has been paid by a third-party sponsor or through a provincial or federal student financial assistance program, the Graduation Scholarship will be applied or remitted in accordance with the applicable funding agreement and any legislative or funding requirements.
